Job Title: Container Storage Terminal Coordinator
Job Overview: As a Container Storage Terminal Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations and activities within a container storage terminal. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and smooth operations, maintaining optimal container storage, and coordinating with various stakeholders involved in the terminal's functioning. You will be responsible for managing container inventory, coordinating container movements, and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Terminal Operations Management:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations at the container storage terminal.
- Monitor and manage container inventory, ensuring accurate records of container movements, locations, and availability.
- Coordinate container positioning, stacking, and retrieval activities to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient operations.
- Collaborate with terminal staff, including crane operators, yard personnel, and truck drivers, to ensure timely container movements and minimize downtime.
2. Coordination and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including shipping lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate container deliveries and pick-ups with trucking companies, ensuring smooth movement and timely handovers.
- Communicate effectively with terminal personnel to ensure clear understanding of operational requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Safety and Security:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety throughout the terminal.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard container storage and prevent unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of container movements, inspections, and other relevant activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on terminal operations, container utilization, and performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize terminal operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in terminal operations, container management, or a similar role within the logistics or maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of container handling processes, yard operations, and storage practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and security protocols in the container terminal environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using terminal operating systems (TOS), inventory management software, and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independent.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements.

Salary: ﷼3,000.00 - ﷼5,000.00 per month
